Thanks for the lesson on the vortec heads..forums like this are a real great place for knowledge. I have since decided to stick with my 327 and get it bored as well as get the crank looked at and ready to put back in.

I will be looking for a set of vortec heads that are in decent shape and a new intake to match that I can add a carb on top.

Will any set of vortec heads from a donor engine work on my block? Does it have to be a spefic band of years?
