Taking a step back to a 3ott and original motor....help wanted

Here again looking for some experienced help,

After looking at many trucks I find that most people are hotrodding them, which is great (383, 396, air bags...eat) But I have always wanted something different, a conversation starter. I am starting to think less is more for me, and I am not looking for something to race. I am going to take out that worm out 305 and put in a 283 I now have and a 3ott.

Where the question comes is I have never worked on a 3ott so I am naive to what components I will need. I have a compelete 283 from a 1964 Chev, a 3 speed transmission, clutch pedal assembly, clutch and shift linkage, 3 speed Colomn. Still need to find are a bell housing, bell housing cross member, tranny crossmember, and clutch. You guys see anything I'm missing, I am hoping to do this over a weekend and want to try and avoid any major speed bumps.

Correct me if I am wrong I will need to use the original forward mounting frame holes for the engine mounts?

Mike
