'66 C30 Dually- a relic from "Brandenburg Farms"
After nearly two years of bantering, I purchased this beauty from a co-worker for $450. This truck was bought new in my hometown, and spent the first 20 years or so of its life in a barn, only out in the weather when it was hauling a load. My co-worker then bought it from the original owner sometime in the 80's and worked it on his farm. Hauling hay, logs, fertilizer, lime, etc. He even took it on a few trips on the interstate. With the original 292, SM420, and very deep rear gears I'd say it was wound pretty tight. He kept it in his barn for sometime, but eventually began letting it sit outside.
Sometime in the 90's the 292 was replaced with a 250. A can of mosquito repellant exploded in the hot sun and busted the windsheild. Eventually, the old truck was parked under a tree and left to sit. I'm hoping to have it back on the road eventually. I've already cleaned the old truck up some, got that rotted bed off, and got it running. Will update with progress.
