For Sale: Sterling Equipment Brand Blazer/Jimmy 3" Roll Bar
I am changing my roll bar out with a Hickey Family Roll Bar and the Sterling Equipment Roll Bar I have now is up for sale.
Asking price is $600 OBO. Pick up in/near Fairhope AL (between Mobile and Pensacola). Truck freight is optional and would be arranged for and paid by the buyer. I can mount the bar to some wood cribbage for shipping if this option is taken. This bar is professionally made and is NOT cheap by any means. It's made from 13ga (0.090") 3" tube, and is a single hoop with bed rail height "kickers" that extend to behind the wheel wells. This thing is stout and very well made. The only thing visible from the outside is the vertical hoop - see pics below. Here's a LINK to the company's website for reference. Features include (from Sterling): •3" mild steel tubing x 13 ga., Mandrel bent on 6" CLR •3/16" mild steel mount plates. •Constructed as a rigid one-piece, fully welded unit •Powder Coated finish This roll bar sells for $1000 plus truck freight. List price is almost $1200. This is not a cheap chinese knockoff, but a well-made product designed and built in the USA. (See the HC Single/Single Model at the top of page 2: http://www.truckrollbar.com/3barphot...%20Catalog.pdf ) I compared measurements to my buddy's 73 K5 and it would also work perfectly in a 73-91 blazer. It should therefore also work in pretty much any full-size truck of the 70's, 80's and 90's and most likely in a lot of the newer trucks. I can get any measurements if requested. Here's some pics of the bar. Notice the horizontal bed rail height kickers that extend to the rear. Here's what the rear-most part of the kickers look like at the tailgate.
