Fuel line ideas for stock '51 tank

Anyone using a stock tank in there 47-53 truck? I am looking for a good way to run fuel and return lines to my stock tank.

Idea 1: Use the stock fuel pick up and then drill a hole next to it for a return line

Idea 2: Use the drain at the bottom of the tank for a fuel line and the stock pick up for return.

Any reason I should do one over the other or a better idea that doesn't involve relocating the tank?

Thanks in advance
