Moving on to the next important job, the manifold. Removing the bunch of bananas and fitting the Holley 300-137 EFI manifold, its operating RPM starts at 2500, for the price nothing else has a lower power starting point.
And as this is a run what ya brung budget build, LOL. I will be adapting the Drive by wire throttle body from the motor, In Australia the Last 5.7 LS1 in our 2004 VZ Monaro got DBW throttle, with its own unique plug. (LS2 got same plug as all 2005 onwards)
Here is the throttle body adapter construction pics... Took a whole day of messing about.
Have to blend the round hole to the 4150 square hole, counter bore the bolts, o-ring the adaptor plate to throttle body surface. The fun never stops.
