86 c30 dually lug nuts

I have a c30 with old alcoa rims on it. I will be swapping out for steel wheels. I did a search and didn't get a good hit, but I am wondering if there is any difference in the lug nuts between the two. Burned into my memory is an incident with a cousin with a bright yellow trans am, some freshly installed junkyard turbine wheels, a first drive, and myself sitting in the passenger seat as we slid down the highway on the slapper bars watching the rims go by since the tapered lug nuts didn't work like the sleeved ones the rims were supposed to have.
Attached is a pic of the rims
