carb problems

To start:
I have a 1977 Chevrolet C10 with a 250 and a monojet carburetor.
Basically, i have to constantly bump up the idle with the idle adjustment screw because it will slowly drop idle speed over time until it dies every time i put in the clutch. I've adjusted the idle mixture screw and the idle speed adjustment and dialed it in, but everytime after 20-30 minutes of driving my idle speed will drop. any suggestions?
thanks
