i need some ideas on how to do this

ok so i want to make a tail gate system without chains and hidden inside the bed for my 65 c10 longbed fleet .. now here is where it gets tricky i want it to be as cheap as i can but work well and not require any welding as i do not have a welder and also have never welded b4 in my life either lol ok the the price of this ide like to be able to keep at say $100 or less . so please would you guys give me some ideas and some directions on how to make this happen ? thanks Michael ...
