From what I have read here, they were only called out on the SPID if the truck was ordered by the government...which would mean to me that they were installed by the dealer otherwise. I have found them on 72's, 73's (73 is common if you search threads here), and vans. I run them on my 72 and my 68 in the position to the left as shown in the "factory" pic. It is a tight fit, but clears just as well, and serves a great purpose. Here is a setup I pulled from a 72 that I am saving for any future needs. It also has a warning sticker attached. I would like to think the sticker has been there since day one, since the truck was very clean and well cared for, making it very rare (LOL )...but it is over 40 years old and highly unlikely.
