Raising (not lowering) Torsion Bars

I've got a 61 C10 with torsion bars. Problem is, that after I put in the 2.5" drop spindles the truck is lower than I want it to be. I would like to try and level out the ride a bit more from front to back. Currently, the front is 5 inches lower than the back and its rubbing the fender on the passenger side.

So, past couple of days, I have been soaking the adjustment bolts in WD40 before attempting this. Since these T-bars have probably never been adjusted, can someone give me some practical pointers on how to raise the truck properly? Looking to add about 1 1/2 inch of ride height to the front. Rear is on bags.

Do I need to worry about breaking these things?

Tom
