A little more accomplished today…
Started out removing the tailgate, tailgate chains and spare tire carrier… Spare tire carrier needs to be modified to accept 5x5 lug pattern… ![]() Tailgate is in really good shape, just needs a touch of work above the "R" ![]() ![]() Next up, with the help of my Bro-in-law, we flipped the hood and prior to beginning the sanding I drilled the mounting holes for the '56 Chevy Car Hood Ornament... ![]() ![]() ![]() all drilled and mounted… ![]() ![]() The curve under the front of the ornament fits the hood lines real well, although at the back, that mount sits up off the hood, will address that issue once the hood is painted... ![]() ![]() Later in the day, once the shade had settled in I prepped the rear fenders for some mud… ![]() ![]() Next up… Lotsa sanding on the bed and hood... ![]() Laterz... ![]()
