New exhaust time

When I did my swap I did the exhaust with the intention of replacing it later on down the road. Well the time has come to start collecting parts for it. I'm tired of the flow masters that are currently on it. My plan is to eventually have headers but I'm gonna wait to find a good deal on some. I will have a tubular trans x-member so that I can tuck it up in the frame rails and an x-pipe after the trains with dynomax bullets with tailpipes coming out of the back some where. The only thing I can't decide on is size. Motor is 5.3 w/243 heads and a pretty healthy cam 224/230 .612/.600 112.5+2.5, 3600 stall converter and probably 3.70 or 3.90 gears. Is 3" too big?
