Fender "backing nuts". How are they attached?
Reinstalling my hood brackets onto the fender, and one of the square nuts on the inside of the fender broke free. From what I can see, there are no tack welds on any of these nuts. Only an indentation on each side of the nut. Anybody know how these originally were "stuck" to the fender?
