Went to the dark side...

Well not really. But I installed an HEI on my 250 six today. I ran that red wire in the pic directly to the battery for startup purposes. I have the proper wire end connector for the firewall side and wire and will finish that up this evening. I cheated and eyeballed where the original points distributor was pointing when I took it out and put the HEI in as close to that as I could then popped all the wires on like the old ones were. A few trial key turns and moves of the distributor and she fired right up. Gapped the plugs to .045. I can already tell it runs smoother and starts up easier.
