Another Air Ride question.
New to owning and working on a bagged vehicle. It was a family friend's build but he suffered a sudden heart attack and passed away, so we bought it from his wife and plan on finishing it. There are no receipts so i have absolutely no clue what I have besides knowing that its an AVS 7switch controller and twin Viair compressors. I've debated waiting until winter to mess with it then tear it apart and use Accuair manifolds and controller, just a sleeker, cleaner, and easier to maintain setup. This would also allow me to have a base to install Elevel at some point. Is this a good idea or no? I also had the idea of putting the psi gauges in the dash cluster for a cleaner look and maybe routing the controller to the ashtray.
This is how the system looks now, its messy, unreliable, and just kinda sucks to look at. Oh. I also found out the hard way that the way he had the hinge mounted for the cover was not enough to keep it from nearly flying off going down the road. He had left the bottom open, i guess to make running lines easy and keep the compressors cool, but when I hit 60-65 it ripped the mounts out and nearly sent the cover into the car behind me. Not cool
