Help finishing axle swap 68 gmc k2500

hey guys,
I have about completed my front axle swap to disc brakes open knuckle dana 44. It seems like the ball stud on my newer adjustable drag link in bigger than the ball stud on the older solid drag link and will not slide into the pittman arm. has anyone had this problem???
