Temp Sensor install help - New Champion radiator

Just bought a 4 core Champion radiator with electric fan thanks to the help of this fine forum. I'm trying to find the best spot for the temp sensor. After some research online, looks like I could use one of the ports on the intake, or the water pump. Problem is both ports on the intake are already taken, and the water pump has a bunch of hoses for the heater, which I don't want anyway. What should I do here? I already have my heater delete plates, should I just remove the heater and all the hoses, use one of the ports that will be freed up by removing the heater, and cap the rest? Thanks for the help.
