Cool Fuel pump?

Ok, the suburban started up only when I used starter fluid in the throttle body, ran for second and cut off, sprayed it again and did the same thing again. I strongly think it is the fuel pump. As always thanks for your time and advice.

It is in the shop right now because where I live I can no longer work on vehicles. So, that just seemed like the best alternative at the time. But the mechanic is going back and forth with me about doing a diagnostic test which is going to raise the cost of the bill to almost $100.
