Trailing Arms

Hello, 1 more question, my trailing arms have a bump or raised area next to where the spring cups mount. Is this normal? All the aftermarket arms and also repair kits do not appear to have this raised area. I thought that might be to support the other edge of the spring, but now I'm confused. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your response.
