What trans is preferred for the 69 - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey guys forgive me if this was asked before. I have a 3 speed gear box original to the truck. I have considered going to a 4 or 5 speed but unsure. If I decide to do this conversion down the road what tranny would be the best? Give a model number or what vehicle it comes from. Btw I have a drop in 350 crate from jegs. But plan to reinstall the original engine in after I rebuild it next year possibly. I also have the 307 rear so just wondering what u guys have done.

Pulls the 10k fifth wheel all so easy. 1969 CST 350 black long bed, 3 on the floor, PS, AC, drum brakes, old school and love it.
