Papaw's Truck

Hey guys. I finally have access to post here and boy am I thrilled. Just in the 36 hours or so for my account to be authorized I have done a lot of lurking.

Just a heads up this is a long post.

At 39 and holding years old I have had many cars and been a member of many a forum. From what I can tell so fare this is one of the friendliest forums I have been privileged to be a member of. Reminds me a lot of the mower forum I am on.

Anyway, I wanted to drop in an introduce myself.

Names A.W. Live in Concord NC. Have a background in information technology and currently own my own, very small, decal business.

I just recently "inherited" my Papaw's 1970, all original Chevy C10 LWB.

I say "inherited" because I did have to pay for it. It was left to my dad and he was going to sell it because he needs the money and cant just give it to me. So I bought it. Probably paid too much but oh well. Maybe not.

Any way, I have a long laundry list of needs and wants. Been putting together a build sheet for it and will have tons of questions.

Having the forum experience I do have, I always search first. But sometimes, I either cant find it or don't exactly know how to word what I am searching for.

I plan on a build thread but will wait until I actually have hands on and start the work. The truck will become my daily driver. I will be selling my 2014 Tacoma to fund this dream. I've been wanting a classic truck for as long as I can remember and it's finally happening. I cannot wait for this journey to begin.

I will post pics when I actually get the truck. Dad is keeping it at his place for a little bit as he still needs it for a bit. But once I have it I will surely share. I call it a 10 footer. But its great. Has great character and history.

Anyway, sorry for the long winded first post.
Thanks for listening,
A.W.
