Yeah I bet it's much more enjoyable when it works the way it's supposed to with the bleeder I can see doing it more regularly in the future now the that tools are all there.

I will be taking the drum off tonight and inspecting. If everything is intact I'll be replacing the drums - when I would turn by hand there was a sticking point so most likely they are warped. I have only driven the truck once (that was bringing it home) so every project is a discovery
