Transmission Help

Love my 67 with its 292 and three on the tree, just hate the fact that in that year the transmission came without a first gear syncro. I have no interest in learning how to double clutch , just need to find a way to upgrade the transmission while still keeping the three on the tree. I have read here that a 68 or newer transmission and bell housing are needed along with modifying the driveshaft to achieve this. Any suggestions, and input will be greatly appreciated. I have not purchased anything as of yet. Hoping your input will point me in the right direction.
