Steering column

Hoping someone can tell me how to tell the difference between a late '60s early '70s keyed Camaro/Chevelle column and the early keyed Chevy truck column (beginning in '74). The splines at the top (steering wheel) end seem to accommodate lots of different wheels for both cars and trucks. Any help in identifying my column would be greatly appreciated!
