Another question lol thanks for any help guys

Im in the process of some major motor work done to my 70 c10 long bed with 350/TH400, and after watching some videos and reading a little, I've given some serious thought to a gear drive instead of a timing belt/chain. anyone use this set-up and are they good for the average mild build 350? any drawbacks or plus sides to having a gear drive? Obviously I'm not producing enough power to skip a gear tooth with my timing chain, but boy does a gear drive sound awesome. keep in mind this truck is only brought out when I get a hankering for some full throttle fun, then she's parked again
