I had never rebuilt a nv4500. ive done a handfull of other manuals, all older 4 speeds though. it was pretty easy. there are no clearances to set other than end play. for the most part its disassemble and re-assemble. there are a few bearings that require creativity or the correct tools to remove, but i did OK without

Check to make sure the 4wd indicator switch is the same against the Dodge suck switch. there is a visible difference in thread-to-ball length in the GM variations. you should be able to tell if it will work in the DHD just by looking at it

Good to know. they had to order the one i have from east jesus nowhere. the photo it looked OK, but ill see when Oriellys calls i guess. the one i ordered is for an 89.
