chevelle tank swap work in shortbed with rollpan

Hi, i am at the point that im ready to try to install my new 69 chevelle fuel tank. I have seen enough threads on here about this task but none exactly like my situation. I have a 69 shorbed and i know it can work on a shortbed if you cut the neck but i have a rollpan on my truck. Has anyone put one of these tanks in a shortbed with a rollpan? After that i just had one concern which is that i have 5" ccp drop springs and a porterbuilt c notch. Would it be a good idea to have 20 gallons of fuel hanging back that far? I dont want to be constantly bottoming out or damage my frame. Its not the end of the world if it wont work as i picked the tank up cheap but was hoping someone may have some experience with it and let me know before i go tearing the bed back off. Thanks
