Talking Another one bites the dust..

After several faithful miles, the 700r4 let go in my 71 tonight. I had been all over the place in it today, and I lost 3+4 gears about two miles from my girlfriends place. She lives about 20 minutes from me (at 60mph that is) and I had the bright idea to drive this thing home in 2nd gear. My 71 has 4:11's 295/50's So my top speed was right close to 15 mph. Lol, anyways I was thirty minutes into my trip when ,by chance, my brother passed me after he got in from his trip for a freight company he drives for. Lucky? Very much so.. .. Him and his 98 ford pickup 6 cyl 5 speed pulled me the rest of the way home with a chain. I dont care how bad that sounds, it saved me atleast another hour of driving. Not the first experiance of being pulled by a chain, but last time it wasnt a FORD lol. I get to hear about this from him for who knows how long now. Oh well.. I'm done venting
