Syncrowave 250

I've been using a Miller HF for years to stick weld and just never have needed to TIG weld with it. I inherited it from my dad and I don't think he ever TIG welded with it since we've never had the foot control for it. I wanted to get it in shape to do some TIG with so I took it to a friend of mine that has a welder repair business and long story short, to get it in good condition I need to spend $1500 on it. As an alternative to doing that he has a completely refurbished, late model Sync 250 DX that he wants $2800 for. This machine has everything with it including a new water cooled gun and all the leads. This is the upright model with the cooling tank on board. He has been completely through it and it looks like it was just delivered from Miller. I'm convinced it's a good deal, just throwing this out for opinions and/or suggestions. I feel it will be a good compliment to my Millermatic 251. What do you guys think?
