hei and cam ?

I'm rebuilding my 402BB and using a GM hei and I sent the gentleman the specs on my engine and sent him my Hei and he recurved it. The specs were for the stock 402BB.I'm thinking of running an edelbrock cam a little larger than stock. Since the Hei was recurved with the stock specs ,does the Hei have to be recurved again to the edlebrock cam? The Auto parts guy at Carquest told me I should have had it recurved for the edelbrock cam. since I had it recurved with the stock specs which included the stock cam.Thank you for everyones help. Dave
