I have to brag about junkyard score!!!
My local main junkyard is going out of business I love that place, they just let me run around and get whatever I wanted and always seemed to get the best price for parts.
Now for the good stuff... Anybody in the mid-to-north Utah an southern ID and however far your willing to drive:::: they had an old 454 w/ 400 just sittin in the back with pwr steering pump and all the pullys complete from air cleaner to exhaust manifolds. I don't know what they wanted but the guy said it would turn over, it looked pretty good I just didn't have the money, he said to make him an offer (remember this place is selling out). I hit the other little junkyard at the edge of the valley. Some kid about my age (early 20's) was in the office, he said go and snoop around. I found a 70 with pwr brakes. Well I went back and asked him how much for the booster and all brackets that I need. He didn't have a clue, tried to call somebody else but couldn't get ahold of them, so he looks at me and asked how $15 bucks sounded. $15?! 15!!! Hell yeah! I will be back first thing with enough tool and told him theres a little extra for him if he keeps his mouth shut about it to his boss. Now I don't exactly know what all this is worth, but I was expecting somewhere ~50, I mean just the booster core charge for getting a new one is more than the junkyard parts... Are ya jealous?!
