tailgates

Well, it finally happened, someone ran into the back of my truck.
It wasn't bad, smashed my roll pan, and scratched up my tailgate.
Since the guys' insurance company was going to fix it, I decided to buy a brand new tailgate from Mar-K.
well the new tailgate has a dent. almost in the middle.
So I contacted the vender, and they are going to decide what to do.

I was thinking that I might find someone out there who might just bondo the ding, and use it, since it is brand new for a reduced price....I'm thinking$50 off the new price, but I'm not the vender.
The pic of the new one is exaggerated by my phone since I blew it up so the vender could see it.

Then I was thinking that someone else might want to buy my old tailgate, and use it, since it almost escaped getting scratched. It has a couple little dings that are hard to see.
So I am including pics of the two tailgates, and let you guys mull it over.

I paid $300 for the new tailgate, and I am thinking $150 for my old one, because it is basically straight and no rust....

I think that the vender would be happy if I found him a buyer, but I don't know how you guys feel about this stuff.
