Hey guys! I got a build going over on the "pre 47" side but it's kind of slow over there. So I figured I would ask here. I am in the process of installing the ignition switch into the dash and I need to drill the hole.
Question is do I need to make the hole with the one side straight to keep the mechanism from spinning in the dash when I key the unit? If so how the hell do I make the hole? If I just drill a regular hole will the tightened nut be enough to keep the mechanism from spinning? I have never seen a drill bit with one flat side.
Heres a pic of the switch I got from American Autowire...........
