No Holy Grail
I know there is a Craigslist findings thread for such finds, but this is a topic on it's own. A friend pointed out a listing that he thought I'd be interested in. The vehicle was listed as '68 G30 and I guess that was keeping the searchers away. It got changed to K30 by the time I looked and I got real excited that I had found my Holy Grail (or one of them). In the pictures it is obviously a rust free '67 GMC, it has 9.75" wheels, original paint, really low miles and price of $5k. Only a couple hours away, too! So, being a 1t that would mean I had found a '67 GMC Custom SRW C3500 NAPCO conversion rust free close to home for a practical price! I had owned a '71 NAPCO C/30 that was stolen and have hoped to find another similar since. I contacted the seller and it's a V6, which is cool for this truck. I had him send pictures of the front drive assembly and that is when the bubble burst. It's a production K2500. Still a totally cool truck, but with me needing a better daily driver more than a cool 4wd to baby, I'm letting it pass If anyone is interested, it's near Philadelphia, PA and was listed under Baltimore, MD.
I replied with all the info I know on the truck, so if the seller accepts my knowledge as true it should be getting changed to be listed as what it really is (but probably not) http://baltimore.craigslist.org/cto/5506930387.html
