Gap in door window felt molding! Leaking! Please help!
Hey guys,
My truck always has had small side window leakage when it rains since I bought it and took off the chingy looking chrome window deflectors that it had when I purchased the truck. Especially on the passenger side. Today when I replaced my carpet I can tell it's been going on for a while because I have some rust on the floor where the floor meets the kick panel. If I ever get the truck repainted it will need rust repair in that area for sure! I temporarily put the window deflectors back on until I can find a solution, because I don't want my new carpet getting wet and stinky again. I notice that there is about a 1 inch gap on the felt looking molding at the top of the door where the window meets the top when the window is fully rolled up. Is this gap normal and if so or if not, what can I do to keep water from coming in?? Thanks in advance!
