1972 CST Highlander Door Panels

I removed the door panels from the Highlander today, they are going to be "restained". Is there a safe way to remove the stainless trim? Iam afraid of breaking the bent nails off on the inside if I try to straighten them. That leads me to the next question, each panel has one broken off already, is there a way to repair/replace those? If I do straighten them, is there a danger of marring the front side? I can't tell if they are hollow or solid.
Where can I buy the plastic pins that hold the panel to the door? There are two different kinds and one of them doesn't hold the close tight to the door.
At the same time the door panels are getting done, the seat is going to the upholstery shop. We are saving the all original vinyl and replacing the weak, faded and worn highlander plaid with new plaid from SMS.
Thanks in advance for the help.
