Ignition unfused port

My 68 chevy has had a lot of wiring changed over the ages bypassing dead wires and even corroded parts of the fuse box. Also electronic distributor and choke have been added. What I am concerned about is, the following are now connected to this ignition unfused port and I"m wondering if they really should be fused:

1. Distributor
2. Electric choke
3. Blower relay (wiring book shows this so I guess its ok).

Should these actually be fused and if so what fuse rating? Mechanic actually told me the distributor unfused was ok..but I'm a bit mystified by that.

The ignition side of the fuse box has corroded out so it has been bypassed. I"m adding a small blade box to replace the dead section. Wondering if I should run these things through a fuse.
