Cab Support Replacement

Guy's, there seem to be 2 front cab support replacements available. One is as the original and the other a "slip on" which I assume you slips over the original, leaving it in place and welds to solid material to the sides of the original.

I need to replace one of mine and was wondering what is best to go for. The OM item would obviously be more original and a a better repair. The slip on would be easier, quicker but not so original and with the original rusty part under it probably more prone to future rust.

What do you think?
