Factory Gauges (reproduction) Questions!!!
Just finished my conversion from idiot light dash to gauge cluster.
Trying to get some info on the stock (reproduction) gauges and how to read them. Battery Gauge : Seems to lean to the far right mostly near the C (I'm assuming that's Charge?) Is that normal? Sometimes will be in the middle. Temp Gauge : Does the middle and far right (Hot) translate to a rough temp? For example if the needle is dead in the middle is that like 170-180 degrees? If on Hot? Degrees? Oil pressure gauge : Any idea if in the middle and far right towards H what the actual PSI translates to? Mine seems to lean towards the high pressure zone. (Crate engine with 10k miles, vortec heads, 330 hp sbc 350) Also my new fuel gauge is a little jumpy more so that the gauge it replaced. It works and is accurate, but seems to be a tad jumpy and has more movement with driving. Any way to fix this? I have a ground wire running from the back of the fuel gauge housing to bare metal under the dash. Does this sound like a Ground / connection issue? Thanks!
