Think I am loosing a fuel pump - anything else to check?

Lately on some local drives the truck (71 GMC 350 4bbl) has been starving for fuel. Its usually after a bout of acceleration. I filled it up with gas yesterday and took it for a drive. It bogged on me several times in a row, which rules out that it was a vapor lock scenario.

I think I am just loosing a fuel pump - but was curious if there is anything else on these fuel systems that can be problematic clogged screens, rusty tanks etc.

thanks

Derek.-
