Cool shims

I have my truck tore down and am soon to replace or rebuild everything on the steering and suspension except the steering box and ragjoint. my question is both upper control arm shafts had multiple shims from previous alignments . do I replace the shims as they were removed or assemble without shims and go straight to the alignment shop . thanks ,Kenny .
