Rerouting my brakelines, prop valve question.
My truck (66) was running manual brakes with a front disc conversion (72 front end stuff) when I bought it from the PO years back. It has a Wilwood adjustable valve on the rear brakeline which I've used a bit to keep lockup reasonable with my big old drag radials.
Since then I've switched to the Wilwood D52's and Hydroboost, but retained the drums out back. I used the master and boost unit from a 97 Astro, and my existing brakelines hooked up with little issue....however.... I need to finally redo the line routing in a much more appealing setup, and realized that I don't think I've ever had any sort of proportioning or bias controlling valve on the truck (sans the Wilwood unit mentioned in the beginning). Should I actually be running one? Is the bias valve in the back doing enough? My trucks braking has been pretty great since the upgrades and I don't really "feel" anything wrong, but as it starts running faster ET I have to scrutinize my safety and brake setups a ton more.
