it looks like a couple things are making your steering harder than most

1. looks like your body is mounted to the frame slightly lower than most
2. looks like your engine is mounted slightly higher than most.
3. it looks like you have taken a really steep angle with the column

all of these things combined are probably the root of your difficulties. I wouldnt suggest you go to that steep of an angle with the factory joint on the steering shaft either, get a borgeson u joint and replace it, in fact get two and replace the rag joint at the box too if you are still using it.

truck is looking awesomo, having the blower fit under the hood is great!
