Yet another 4wd conversion thread

Hey guys,

I had read though a ton of stuff. I just want to make sure before I go and start looking for parts.

I know that I will need a front crossmember and all of the parts attached to it, and that I can keep the rear leaf, and flip it, or convert it, again with rwd truck parts.

I have a couple of questions: There is a front crossmember with drum on it, will my disc swap straight over?

I have read that it is possible to use the 73-87 parts for both the front and the rear. This is what I need cleared up, as there is a full 1/2ton 2wd roller available for 250 pretty close to me, but it's a 74. I'll go pick this up if it will work.

Thanks for the help!
