Gear selection

Hello - I have 1975 Chevy Blazer with original small block 350 and Th350 automatic transmission. The gear selector is on the steering column.

when pulling the car down into gear there is an very fine line between 3rd and 4th. I often end up in third and don't realize it until I'm headed down the road at high rpm. I can slightly bump the gear selector and it slips up into the next gear.

I would like to adjust this. Any advice or idea on what to search in the boxes above to find resolution to the problem?
