stumble/stall at idle

OK, now that things are drying out around here in Sacramento I am finally getting a chance drive my new toy a bit more. I've worked out the major bugs and this is what I've noticed in the last few days of driving it.

My 71 LWB 350 wants to "almost" stall once it is warmed up, of the line. Like sitting at a stop light... when the light turns green and I touch the throttle, I really am not certain if it is going to stop or go. So what I got into the habit of doing last night was simply applying some gas while on the brake to make sure I didn't stall.

This truck came to me with the exhaust split, glass-packs, stock manifolds and stock carb. The only change I've made was to add an open air cleaner/filter.

So is this simply an idle adjust matter, or is there something else I ought to know/do? THANKS!
