Arg!!!!!!!!
I need some of your expert advice. I know I saw the answer here, but now I can't find it! ![]() let me start with the begining. After my truck sat for the Pennsylvania winter, I noticed while I had it out today that the rear breaks want to lock up too fast. Just stopping from about 25 MPH, so it's not like I'm standing on the pedal. I pulled the driver side drum, and although it was dusty, the shoes aren't bad, (only about 600 miles, and they worked fine last summer! This leads to question #2: I can't remember how tight to make the 2 "ring" nuts, the ones that hold the drum on to the rear end, and also, hot tight do I torque the 8 bolts that hold the axel to the drum? it's a '67 3/4. Sorry about the long post! Dave ![]()
