70 k20 3/4 ton build "Shirley"
Howdy from Texas ya'll
I have been a member of this forum for some time now, I have a 68 c10 that I'm slowly, but surely restoring. I recently (Feb 2016') had the pleasure of buying a 1970 Chevrolet K20 3/4 ton 4x4, with a hydraulic flatbed from a coworker. The truck was purchased with a tired out 350 motor that had leaks from every possible seam. The truck was not drivable when he sold it to me, but I took a leap of faith and bought it anyway. I proceeded to have to truck taken to a small hot rod shop in the city that I work in called Freer, Texas. There the truck was to undergo a heart transplant as well as other minor things here and there to get here road worthy. I decided to name her Shirley. This is her with some jeep wheels and 37" tires that the previous owner tried pulling off, looked cool, but rubbed too much and motor and trans didn't move them well enough, clutch was toast and flywheel was all heat spotted.
