Radiator Support/Radiator Fitment Issues HELP!

I just received a new radiator support (Woodall brand) for my 69 c-10. I also ordered a 4 row retainer mounting kit. From my research, I determined I would have to do a relief cut around the bottom lip of the radiator support to allow the wider 4 row brackets to sit flush in the support.

The radiator is an Entropy LSX type specific for C10. The radiator cooling fins/surface area fits up perfect with the opening of the radiator support. Top/bottom/left/right, none of the fins are being covered by the support.

The issue is that the mounts for the top have about 3/4" gap. I don't know if I should trim the rubber, or material off the aluminum mounting tabs.

If I move the mounts over to the side of the tabs, they will fit flush, but I would need to drill new holes in the support.
